Last month for my column with Grand Rapids Magazine I invited my friend and award winning floral designer Mari Ignatoski of Ginko Studios to re-imagine what fall floral decor looks like. We got together and played with different containers and ideas for arrangements that were a little outside of the box. An alternative to the traditional pumpkin-mum interpretation, I am always interested in a fresh approach! I am writing a design column every other month, if you are not getting Grand Rapids Magazine you should check it out. They are introducing many new features in 2020 and really upping their game, building on great new content and showing off West Michigan like never before!
I love all the fall texture here; leaves, berries, and vines coming together to create a fresh fall vibe! All photos by the talented Kelly Sweet Photography.
Final arrangement… stunning! We shot this column at my clients home in downtown Grand Rapids, she is a gracious host and an avid art and design fan.
Fall arrangements don’t have to be large, small groups of vases in gold with a few casual sprigs bring life to a room.
Spread the fall decor around the house and bring an arrangement into your bedroom, I love flowers next to the bed!
Happy fall and enjoy getting ready for Thanksgiving! It is a short season and will be done in a flash, soak in the blessings and spread the love!
