I Love Round Dining Tables!
We have had a total of four different dining tables in our fifteen years of marriage! A couple were hand-me-downs from family, one was a large rectangular mission style table with a bench and our latest is an antique I hunted and hunted for! Three of our tables have been round and I have to say, it’s my favorite shape!
I adore this room by Lee Kelinhelter, great mix of modern and traditional! We love our round table because it creates such an intimate setting. With a family of four, it’s easy to feel connected and the shape is so classic!
This room is a great example of opposites attract with the Eero Saarinen dining table and the antique crystal chandelier. Modern and cozy!
Round tables are super flexible when they come with leaves. I like having a smaller table for every day meals, but we can entertain a larger group easily when the leaves are put in. I love this white floor but I don’t think I could pull it off with two boys and our lab Lizzy!
This light fixture is bold and perfect in this space. I love the scale of a large light over a round table. I might add a punch of color on those walls though!
Dining rooms are one of my favorite spaces to design because they bring people together. Whether it’s a separate room or connected to your kitchen the layout, materials, colors, artwork, and lighting bring ambiance to the room and make dining memorable!
Do you have a round table? We will be changing the design of our dining room soon, just a bit, but I will be keeping my round table for sure!
XO,
