Is Your Home Beautiful? Does Your Home Make You Happy? (part 2)
Would you describe your home as beautiful? Refined? Charming? Joyful?
Beauty is in the eye of the beholder; and studies have shown that gazing at art alone can cause a surge of dopamine in the orbital frontal cortex of the brain. The same affect associated with romantic love. Do the art, textiles, wallpaper, molding, tile, color palette and furniture combination in your home create visual zen for your brain? Walk through your home and rate each room based on your gut reaction and don’t over think it. Write down thoughts for each room. How does your home rate?
Our Rockford Renovation Project
Places have Power, I firmly believe this! If you want to achieve a new goal take a look at the words you used to describe your home and see how they support that goal. Think through what would need to change in order to transform a frustrating and depressing space into one that supports you both physically and emotionally. If your house needs a lot of work this process may sound daunting but it doesn’t have to be. Don’t let your project scope hold you back!
